5Works well, and well priced.

After being completely frustrated with one set of headphones after another, I finally spent what was, to me, a goodly amount for a good gaming set. Of course, the dual connectors didn't play well the with various phones I have, so I was expecting to have to shell out even more for another set.

Now, instead of spending way too much, I spent under $15 and get to multi-use the headphones I like on 'puters and phones. A good deal all around.

Product description clearly shows picture and description of two female inputs from phone to a 3.5mm male (i.e., PC headset to phone). They sent me the exact opposite, which is worthless. Description also says contains 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable which was not included. Wish I could could have a negative-number-of-stars rating for wasting my time.

5Works great with Blackberry 8300

I was having trouble with my bluetooth device and Blackberry 8300 on conference calls -- bluetooth connection dropping and reconnecting, and occasionally getting complaints from others on the call about my voice fading out. So I decided to go with a wired headset: a Sennheiser PC 151 connected by the Headset Buddy connector. Since the BB has a 3.5mm four pole plug, I use both of the included adapters from this set.

Short answer, the connector works great! I can connect my headset to an older phone with a 2.5mm connector, or to the BB with its 3.5mm connector, or to my laptop which also has the 3.5mm four-pole connector. This headset works great with all those devices.

I was concerned that the microphone impedance might be a problem, because another headset didn't work so well. I also have an iHome IH-H410UR headset which sounds absolutely awful on the BB using this adapter (microphone issue, from the perspective of others on the call -- lots of distortion and static. It sounds like the mic is sending out too strong of a signal). But this Sennheiser headset sounds great on both ends. So if you're looking for a wired combination that works great on the BB, I suggest the Sennheiser PC 151. Other quality gaming headsets might also work fine, but I can't vouch for them.

This is a review of the Headset Buddy, not the headset itself. I just wanted to let people know that it matters which headset you pick, and to offer one setup that worked for me.
