Great Headset

We recently converted our office to Cisco 7942 phones. I bought one of these and liked it so much, I have ordered another 6 for the rest of my group. As others have said, it is amazing how inexpensive it is, compared to other headsets for Cisco phones.

It does work with the 7940.

This is the cheap way to go if you need a bunch of these for staff. Im in IT and the closest thing i could find was 79$. This works great for staff that will use and abuse the items. Lose it or slam cord in a drawer it doesnt matter. Go ahead spend the 20$ you wont be sorry. Other option is to spend 50$ more for not much more quality. It does work with the 7940. I dont know what problems the reviewer had that said it didnt. You unplug the handset and plug this in. No rocket science here.

Cheap mic! Your Voice is Unintelligible to Others!

You get what you pay for. I tried this headset with both a Cisco IP Phone 7940 and 7960 with equal results.
As everyone stated, the incoming audio quality sounds good out if the earphone. However, every call I made, the person on the other end complained they couldn't understand me, that I sounded extremely muffled as if I had a sock in my mouth! I tried adjusting the mouthpiece farther from/closer to my mouth with no affect. I even took off the windscreen but still no change. As soon as I switched bach to the handset, everything was fine. I've returned it so that people no longer think I've been kidnapped!
